Why electropolishing?

The advantages of electropolished surfaces compared to mechanical treatment are numerous. Following functional features can be achieved by electropolishing:

  • quality controll by detection of treatment and material defects (defectoscopy)

Electropolishing – how is it done?

The process represents a reversed galvanic operation. Exposed to direct current (rectifier) and suspended into specific electrolyte solution metal material is removed from the surface of the component which is connected anodically.
